The stroy behind
Where Art Meets Asphalt – The Journey of Skel Customs and Peera
Craftsmanship. Passion. Identity.
Skelcustom stands for more than just helmet design – it’s the story of a creative journey driven by passion, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to individuality.
What began in 2016 with a passion for motorcycles and a background in tattoo artistry has evolved into a distinctive brand for custom-painted helmets. Our founder started as a tattoo artist at just 19, always drawn to visual expression and creative freedom. After buying his first big bike – a Kawasaki Ninja 300 – the realization came quickly: a helmet is more than protection. It’s identity. It’s a canvas.
Dissatisfied with off-the-shelf designs, he began painting his own helmet – learning the hard way through trial, error, and countless hours of research. This hobby turned into an obsession, and later into a business: Skelcustompaint.
By 2019, things took off. Orders came in, attention grew, and new designs like the RONIN custom – inspired by tattoo art – gained traction in Thailand’s biker community. As the demand increased, the brand gained recognition far beyond local borders. Projects for international customers followed, including complex commissions like the CNY Lion, a custom piece that caught the attention of the Chinese market.
But growth came fast – and with it, new challenges. Skelcustom expanded too quickly, prioritizing volume over quality. That misstep led to operational issues and the temporary closure of the business. Instead of giving up, our founder took a step back – working in automotive painting to refine his skills and rebuild his foundation.
In 2024, Skelcustom was reborn – with clearer values, tighter processes, and a renewed focus on quality over quantity. Every design today is carefully planned, handcrafted, and executed with the respect a helmet – and its rider – deserves.
